The planned setup uses restic for encrypted backup repositories and rclone for Google Drive access. It supports local backup storage, Drive backup copies, archive verification and file recovery when configured and authorized by the owner.
The utility runs from the owner's computer. This website explains its purpose and data use; it does not run backups or connect visitors' Google accounts.
Why Google access is requested
Google Drive access lets the utility create, inspect, verify, update and recover the owner's backup objects.
The chosen full Drive permission can also permit reading, changing or deleting other files in the authorized account. Selecting backup folders does not narrow that Google permission. Actual backup operations follow the owner's configuration and approvals.
Who it is for
This is a private administration utility for its owner's accounts. There is no public signup or customer account service, and this website provides no access to backup contents.
